Not that long ago, Toronto, CA. banned sharkfin soup and I was clapping my hands. I had sent out a petition to the different politicians as they from http://www.sharkangels.com recommended you did if you also think that sharkfin soup is a horrible, antiquated act of cruelty.
Little did I know that the very country I grew up in, the place I called home for so many years, sell sharkfin soup in almost all asian restaurants. I learned that today. My entire life has been directed towards marine biology and conservation; I have dedicated everything I have ever done to that cause, but I didn't know that Denmark openly and unashamed sells sharkfin soup.
I am shocked, horrified and ashamed that Denmark is part of the trade of shark fins. But now I do know and so will everyone I know in denmark too. And I hope that you, whoever you are and where ever you are, will check out for yourself and see if your country allow sharkfin soup and other sharkfin products to be sold and if they do, that you will take a stand against it.
